We presented “Shall We Dance? Resonance of Intentions with an Embodied Agent based on the Free Energy Principle” (Takeru Hashimoto, Jun Tani, Shunichi Kasahara) at SIGGRAPH 2026 Emerging Technologies in Los Angeles on July 20–23, 2026, as an interactive demo with the humanoid robot G1.
Grounded in the Free Energy Principle, the agent negotiates intentions through physical interaction: visitors hold hands with it and feel the resistance at their hands disappear as the agent infers their new intent.
